Paying it Forward - Etsy shops and Authors

Pay it Forward is a book written by Catherine Ryan Hyde. This is the gist of the story ~ Twelve year old Trevor takes on an extra credit assignment and his teacher challenges him to come up with an idea that can change the world. Not only that, he has to implement his idea too. And so Trevor comes up with a Pay It Forward multi-level marketing scheme of the heart. His idea is simple ~ help 3 people in some way. Then, when they want to pay him back, he'd have them "pay it forward" to 3 other people. And they are to find 3 other people and help 'em out. You get the idea? So here goes . . .

Here are 3 Etsy shops you should check out . . .
Keiko's TanPoPo Etsy shop. Keiko is a fellow bloggie sista and fashionista with a big heart. Just last month, Keiko made paper crane earrings, posted them on her blog and all proceeds from her sales went to Japan's Relief fund. She also generously donated several items from her Etsy shop, and proceeds from that also went to Japan's Earthquake Relief fund. I was lucky enough to snatch up these lovely Princess Cream Bow Shoe Clips. They were only $15 and it adds so much more pizazz to my Aldo ballerina flats. In fact, it would add pizazz to any pair of shoes! Keiko also makes hair accessories and necklaces. You can also check out Keiko's blog here.

Petal & Pink's Etsy shop.  Erin is a fellow blogger and jewelery designer. She describes her pieces as ~ "Handmade jewelry created with a blend of vintage beads and modern flair. Vintage inspired, but with a modern take on it." She hand crafts earring, bracelets and necklaces, and they're all uberlicious, superbly made and affordable. And methinks they're very Anthro-esque. Erin has 100% positive feedback on her Etsy shop. You can also check out Erin's blog here. Below are 2 of my favorite earrings from her Etsy shop.

Orange and Yellow's Etsy shop. She's a recent college grad and creates handmade colorful, beaded friendship bracelets, necklaces, and earrings perfect for summer. And it's all very boho chic. She's been on Etsy for two years this month and all month long, you can enter code ' CELEBRATE' when checking out for 20% off her entire shop. You can also visit her blog here.

“A Scattered Life is the kind of novel you’ll want to recommend to a friend without quite knowing how: as soon as you begin to say what the book is "about," all of the possible descriptions seem either too small or too big for the story contained in those pages.” - Carolyn Parkhurst

How will Kalem and Helen get together when she’s too foolish to realize that she loves him? Praise for The D Word:
“Reading The D Word is like hanging out with two wonderfully flawed friends who make you laugh even when it seems their worlds are falling apart. Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke have captured these women at a crossroads as they struggle to find love, happiness and fulfillment. You’ll laugh, cry, and at times, want to slap some sense into them. But mostly you’ll root for Elle and Jordan because you know them. They’re just like you.” – Irene Zutell, author of PIECES OF HAPPILY EVER AFTER

The D Word is available on Amazon Kindle and B&N Nook for $2.99
