About My Novel - Confessions of a Call Center Gal

A fun and lighthearted read that will appeal to fans of chick lit, hen lit and lad lit that's mostly read by girls. Think Bridget Jones meets The Office (TV show). It's a humorous look at what happens on the other side of the phone line, and it's a glimpse into a world we all experience but seldom bother to understand once we hang up the phone. In true chick lit fashion, it is fun and frilly with a dash of romance. It's currently available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble.com, and all the major online book stores. Here's a blurb from the back cover. Hope you'll enjoy it!

My two little girls idol worship Justin Bieber and insisted that mommy celebrate him on her blog. So here he is, Justin Bieber in all his Bieberificness!

Sophie Kinsella - My Queen Bee

My love for the Shopaholic series started ten years ago and ever since then, I've been a Sophie Kinsella fan and I just can't get enough! Her books are fun, witty, they make me laugh and they make me cry. The gift set above features the first three novels from the series - Confessions of a Shopaholic, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan and Shopaholic Ties the Knot. And over the year Kinsella has followed up with Shopaholic and Sister, Shopaholic and Baby and most recently Mini Shopaholic. Books outside this series include The Undomestic Goddess, Remember Me and Twenties Gal. They're all a treasure trove of fun and laughter.

A Hode Podge about Me

I am new to blogging but I've been a part of this whole blogging community for a while. I'm what you'd call a unicorn -I'm a blog buddy who checks all my fav blogs on a regular basis but I never leave comments or tweets. But hey, like unicorns, I'm not mythical, I do exist . . . I'm just the blog buddy in hiding ;-P ***Update, the unicorn has come out of hiding.
I started this blog to plug my chick lit novel - Confessions of a Call Center Gal (which will be out in mid March 2011) and to share my other passions - books, food, fashion, decor, oh a whole hodge podge.
Being a first time author, I'm just a small fish fry in this vast ocean, and it's up to me to do the brunt of the legwork. Forgive the parlance, but a book doesn't sell itself. So if you enjoy my book, please spread the word.
First off, here's a little bit about me. I am a HUGE dog lover. I was the kid who went around my neighborhood feeding scraps to stray dogs. And now I'm the big kid who is the owner of three pooches (Milo's from a farm, Lola and Chloe are both shelter dogs). What does 3 pooches entail? 3x the love and 3x the doggie doo doo to pick up. I still get all tearful every time I watch Animal Cops, and I'm a big champion of the Moon Bear Rescue group, headed by the Animals Asia foundation.
I'm a voracious reader and my one guilty passion is chick lit. Fav authors include Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes, Emily Giffin, Helen Fielding, (among many others) and the one who started it all - Jane Austen. In my blog, I plan on reviewing books that I love, some on chick lit novels, others on mainstream novels that I've enjoyed. I'll also share some dishy recipes, and review Anthro and J.Crew stuff - clothes, shoes and decor. But I'll have to say, I'm an Anthro girl at heart. I'm married to Anthro, I'm engaged to J.Crew, and Target, AE and Forever 21 are my cheap flings.
This blog is titled Confessions of a Call Center Gal 'coz I've worked in a call center for almost a decade. Oh I know, it's a tragedy. After I graduated with my journalism degree, I served as Copy Editor at Desktop Journal. Then I went on to do technical writing for a software company in Cali. When I wanted to settle down and start a family, I started working at a call center for a major bank, in their software support department. The hours at the call center are flexible and it allows me to be a stay at home mom, and still bring in some bacon (albeit very, very lean bacon). My two little girls and three pooches still have their mommy around most of the time, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters to me.
