Anthropologie Hallowed Halls Oxfords Review

Ever caught yourself talking to a pair of shoes? When I got these Hallowed Halls Oxfords in the mail and pulled 'em out of the box, I found myself saying, "Well, hello there gorgeous!" I am in love with these heels, especially since they're only stacked 2" high and I can actually walk in 'em. I'm quite pleased with the quality; this is my 2nd pair of All Black shoes and I must say that they hold up pretty well. I first saw the black and white version on Tien in  fall of 2009 (it was called the Scarf Tied Oxfords) and I scoured the entire country trying to locate it as it was sold out online. Luckily, I managed to score it at a little shoe boutique; so this time I decided not to wait. I took the plunge in case I missed out on these pretty little oxfords. They make my feet look like Christmas gifts.

Can't wait to pair it with a red dress . . .

  1. Haha I talk to my clothes... but only in private! I get enough weird looks already taking pictures of myself :D You seriously find the cutest shoes. The ribbons remind me of Lanvin, so feminine and whimsical. And pairing the tweed print with tights? Fabulous!

  2. *Gush* I want those oxfords soooo bad, but I'm holding out for a sale. Now you got me worried that they'll sell out! ;-P

  3. Those oxfords are amazing!! Post pics wearing them!!

I ordered these as soon as they went on sale and got a notification that it had been cancelled from my order because they ran out of stock. Ugh! However, I did find the black and beige pair that you have pictured above on So if anyone else is bummed because they sold out you can still find them (in a different color. They also have them in the "fish bow" look.

  6. Anon - That's a bummer. But I'm glad you managed to find 'em at Endless. And I'm sure you'll love 'em. These oxfords are one of my favorite pair of shoes. Thanks so much for the tip!

  7. I wanted these shoes so bad!! This is how I found your blog by the way, I just typed the name of the shoes and your blog popped up!
I actually ordered them 3 times (the first 2 times they were still 25% off) but each time my order got canceled.
I guess it wasn't meant for me to have these cuties on my feet.

  8. Hey Lisa!! Thanks for the compliment and for the tip! :]
My size is 6 but I wanted to get those in 6.5 since most of the reviews said they run big. I only called cs once (the day it went on sale). I was mostly watching my wish list. I will call them again!! I also saw on your blog the beige ones from 2009 hmmm I would totally get those at Endless except that being a college student and also customer service gal $111.95 bucks is kinda outta my budget!!
P.s. that is cool you also live SLC. Maybe we should pay a trip together at Anthropologie one of these days :p

  9. Hi Nadja! Sorry you missed out on the oxfords. I was a college student once and lived on a shoe string budget, so I totally know what you mean. Can't believe you're a customer service gal too! Yes, we should make a trip to Anthro one of these days! It'll be fun :)

  10. Hey Lisa! I actually just got these shoes on ebay! The price wasn't too bad, maybe just 2-3 buck more expensive than if I had bought those at Anthro with shipping so I think my drama for these shoes are over with:D

Yes.. I do customer service too!But I'm looking for a way out before I have a heart attack hehe I never liked being on the phones but a job is job ya know! Plus I need better benefits and pay. Hopefully I'll find another J O B soon! I can't wait to finish school so I can afford my superficial needs hehe Sometimes I really wonder what Anthro customers do for a living.. especially those who pay full price on things! Man that would be awesome!!
